“ Had a nice dinner here on Saturday night. Hubby had duck, and I has the salmon grain bowl. Both were delicious! The only thing that made this 4 stars rather than 5 for me was the service. Our original waitress seemed annoyed when I asked what the vegetable of the day was and how much the salmon special cost. She said that she didn't know because "he didn't tell me that." I assume she was talking about the chef or owner. I probably would have ordered the special because it sounded amazing, but I didn't want to annoy her by making her actually find out how much it cost before I ordered it. So, I ordered a grain bowl instead. The waitress who took our order brought my husband's drink and then never returned. No silverware, no water refills, etc. So, I asked another waitress named Kristen for water. She was great! She brought us water, silverware, etc. There were several other waitstaff there, but Kristen was doing ALL of the work. The food was very good, but I would only go back if I was sure to get Kristen as our waitress or if the overall service improves. The other waitstaff seemed totally uninterested in their jobs. It's sad because this place has a lot of potential. ”

“ This restaurant far exceeded my expectations in every way. Initially, I wasn’t sure about having dinner here because it looked like a cafe, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. The food was not only expertly prepared and incredibly delicious, but it also radiated a sense of care, passion, and dedication in every dish. Each plate felt unique, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully selected. There was a certain warmth in the atmosphere that made the meal even more special. I’m not sure if the person who prepared my meal was the owner, but it was clear that whoever was behind the kitchen cares deeply about what they do. It's easy to find good food, but it’s rare to find that perfect blend of love and culinary skill in every bite. This place is something truly special. ”

“ The duck is absolutely phenomenal, pizza, drinks, everything is outstanding! The cook made the duck for us for lunch, the staff is friendly, incredible one of the best places I’ve been and highly recommend. ”

“ We had a wonderful dinner at Fifty Three Fifty, The Pourhouse. The service was excellent, and the menu offered a large variety of healthy dining options, which was great to see. The location was very convenient and easy to walk to, making for a relaxed evening. I was also pleasantly surprised to see several non-alcoholic beer options available, which was a thoughtful touch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning. ”

“ This place hit the sweet spot between style, flavor, and atmosphere. We ordered the Roots and Grains Salad and the Poke Bowl — both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The roasted veggies and salmon were perfectly cooked, and the flavor balance in the poke was fresh and vibrant. The latte art was a fun surprise, and the overall vibe of the café was modern, cozy, and welcoming. Great menu variety with options for all kinds of diets, and the attention to detail in both food and drink really stood out. Definitely worth the visit if you’re looking for a healthy meal or a quality coffee break in a relaxed, stylish setting. ”

“ So everyone loves Hurricane Hank's, which is just around the corner. We intended to go for dinner, but by the time we got there (5pm on a Saturday!) it was already full. The hostess suggested that we try their sister restaurant, just around the corner in the same lot, called the Pourhouse. We'd thought it was just a coffee place... we were wildly mistaken. It's not just a dinner place... it's a *fantastic* dinner place with a really nice vibe. To start with, they have a great drinks menu - lots of options, good wines, and if they don't have something, they can probably get it from Hank's attached liquor store. The menu is not huge, but the food was perfectly done. My wife ordered their grain bowl and loved it (and they put the beets on the side since she's not a fan and I am); I got the duck, and I swear it was the entire bird, cooked perfectly with a great sauce. It wasn't cheap ($30 for the duck) but that's not bad for Anna Maria, and I ended up with two full meals in any case. We're particularly grateful to Kristen, our waitress, for good advice and amazing service - she was everywhere, doing every job. ”

“ I love this small place. They have an amazing choice of different coffees and drinks. Their food menu is small but everything has been delicious. I like to come here sit and work on my laptop for a bit. Great mid island coffee house. if you see me working stop and say hello. ”

“ Amy was our server and she was amazing! I ordered a Chai latte and she suggested making it a dirty chai which she explained added a shot of espresso and I’ll tell you what it was delicious! I also had the epic egg sandwich with sausage and it blew me away! The sweet and heat jam sent it over the top! It was OUTSTANDING! It was my first time there but it won’t be my last for sure and I’ve told everyone about it! ”
